Diving: the underwater world reveals secrets to the brave

7 April 2021

The person who at least once made a dive in a wetsuit into a fascinating and captivating underwater world almost always “gets into the taste” and undertakes such dives again and again.

Until he becomes a real diving fan. The bright underwater world of the seas and oceans can be studied constantly, but never fully understood. But most importantly, diving allows you to experience such thrills that cannot be compared with anything else. In addition, diving can also be different in different places of the World Ocean. Is diving dangerous?

It is quite natural that before the very first dive a person experiences some fear. The unknown is always scary. And it doesn't matter that the beginner has completed a training course in the pool: the first dive in the open sea is always exciting. Of course, any extreme sport or entertainment has its own levels of difficulty. An experienced instructor of any diving center will never offer a "rookie" to dive to a depth of more than 10-12 meters; Moreover, he will never offer to dive in a place where there are even slight sea currents. The most important thing before each dive is to listen carefully and remember all the points of the briefing. It is especially clear for yourself to learn the order and speed of returning to the surface: a quick ascent can be hazardous to health. After several successful dives, longer and deeper dives can be made. And there it is already close to the "aerobatics" of diving - diving to sunken ships, ice swimming and visiting underwater caves!

There is no need to immediately try to master deep diving.

And diving beginners will be able to see a lot of interesting things even at a shallow depth: bright fish and other marine inhabitants of shallow water, beautiful corals and other mollusks. You can only be afraid of some poisonous plants and living beings. And of course, you should not touch anything underwater again, you should not damage any manifestations of underwater life. Types of diving. What do we choose?

There are two main types of diving: regular diving (in English, daily diving) and diving trips (dive safaris). In principle, already from these names it follows which dives are typical for a particular type of diving.

As a rule, experienced divers prefer dive safaris, since there is practically no sightseeing of any sights of this or that place. A dive safari involves moving on a yacht, boat or ship from one meta dive to another. This type of outdoor activity is becoming very popular among divers. Most often, such a dive safari is organized as follows: a group of sea diving enthusiasts gathers, a boat is rented, and a specific cruise route is developed together with a diving instructor. Divers live mainly on the ship, and dives are carried out either from the ship or from land at the temporary parking lot. The duration of diving trips can be completely different, but usually it does not exceed two weeks.

Normal, one-day diving - daily diving is fun for beginners. Usually daily diving is done as part of a group, with half of the group diving at the same time. The second part of the group can easily watch the divers either from the boat or floating on the surface. Such entertainment is designed for one day and is carried out according to a pre-designed program. In the morning, a group of diving enthusiasts are taken by bus to the diving center, and from there to the boat. In one day, as a rule, two dives are carried out with a break for lunch right on board the ship. During the day, vacationers can sunbathe on board the ship, or simply swim in the warm waters of the South Sea. In any case, there is always the opportunity to refuse to dive and watch the divers from the deck of the ship.

Such one-day trips have one small drawback, the places and dive routes have long been "settled"; the presence of numerous groups does not have the best effect on the state of diving routes.

Choosing dive sites: where is the best?

Experienced divers have long chosen certain countries and places on the coast of these countries that are best suited for diving. Many professional divers specially come to strictly defined places to realize their plans. Some choose islands and areas of the seas where there are accumulations of sunken ships, others are interested in colorful coral thickets, and still others are interested in underwater grottoes. Similar places are almost everywhere, on all seas and oceans. The differences are only in the season of possible diving. All year round you can dive in the countries of Southeast Asia: Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, in the south of the Japanese Islands. The islands of Pacific Polynesia and Micronesia have also long been places for exciting diving. These include the Mariana Islands, Papua New Guinea, French Polynesia, as well as northern New Zealand and the east coast of Australia. Do not forget the divers and the islands of the Caribbean. In Europe, the favorite places for diving fans are the coast of Croatia, Montenegro and Norway. The water area of the Red Sea is, of course, by itself!

For diving beginners, interesting places are the resorts of India and Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Greece, Tunisia, the Seychelles and Maldives, as well as the coast and islands of Italy and Spain.
