ETERNAL SHINE

21 April 2020
In March 2020, Delta Light launched a range of new collections and exciting collaborations. Fans and partners of the brand can expect a combination of architectural lighting, precise lighting tools, expressive forms and the latest technologies focused on user comfort. All of this will serve to support the already strong portfolio of the Belgian lighting brand. Managing Director of the company Jan Ameloot is delighted with the new products: “With our new collection, we are reaching a new level, crossing borders, raising the bar. We are turning to new materials, challenging existing forms and focusing on the multi-sensory aspect of lighting.”
Delta Light

The range of the new 2020 collection includes Pion, Inform, Mantello and Frax, which provide users with many benefits and are applicable to a wide variety of projects. In addition, Delta Light presents two collaborations: the Conform profile designed by Dean Skira and the Still kinetic lamp designed by Natalie Devez.

Delta Light The new Pion is shaped like a pawn in a chess game, with playful yet graceful lines. However, unlike a pawn, Pion can move freely in all directions thanks to Delta Light's Eccentric Rotation System (ERS) Although Pion is originally a static lamp, it can easily be turned into a room-encompassing periscope by simply rotating the lighting element. Pion's "head" is capable of covering 355° horizontally and tilting up to 90°. Elegant design combined with energetic color schemes make Pion an interior decoration. Pion is available as a semi-recessed version, a surface mount spotlight or as a plug-in module to match Delta Light's range of magnetic profiles.

Conform profile , designed by Croatian lighting designer Dean Skira , was specifically designed to improve people's comfort in the work environment. Conform is designed "around" the world. It not only perfectly frames the light source, but also enhances its work in many ways. The advanced design and engineering features of Conform are centered around four aspects: quality, light distribution, aesthetics and lighting comfort. Conform uses Delta Light's patented Natural Light Technology® (NLT) , a state-of-the-art LED with a spectrum very close to that of sunlight. This sun-mimicking spectrum brings out rich colors, especially in the blue-green region of the spectrum, which is preferred by the human eye, positively influencing circadian rhythms and increasing human activity.

To further enhance the quality of space and user comfort, Conform guarantees a well-balanced ratio of direct to reflected light from 55% to 45%, optimized to prevent eye strain. Thanks to Delta Light's curved wingline optics extrusion system, the light is evenly emitted and distributed across the ceiling, creating an enhanced spatial effect. Another notable feature of Conform is the balance of sleek design and optimal gloss control. Its elegant A-frame design combines a custom reflector shape with a raster profile. It allows light to enter the room from a hidden source, minimizing glare while enhancing the overall aesthetic of the room.

Inform Delta Light family is a series of linear and curved lighting solutions designed for a wide variety of applications.  At the heart of this family is Delta Light's Melanopic Light Technology® (MLT) High-quality LEDs help control circadian rhythms, providing the most natural white light with more energy in the blue-green region of the spectrum, helping to stimulate activity during the day and improving sleep at night. The reflector is designed to perfectly enclose each individual LED module and increase the efficiency of the entire luminaire while maintaining a high level of visual comfort. Inform is sophistication in all its aspects. Its small dimensions (28x28 mm) fit easily into any architecture. When power is connected via overhead cables, there is no need for additional wires, which emphasizes the minimalistic appearance of the profile. Sleek details further expand Inform's design options: recessed end caps with an embedded logo, multiple color combinations, and a delicate PSU design.

With its timeless and attractive appearance, the  Mantello pendantDelta Light luminaire Its playful nature makes Mantello a suitable candidate for creative design ideas. The bell-shaped design of the Mantello was inspired both by Memphis pieces from the 1980s and early industrial fixtures. Mantello is a modern interpretation of recognizable and traditional shapes. This model will add a modernist style and classic elegance to any interior. You can choose between a matt lacquered aluminum shade or a hand-blown round glass shade. The variety of sizes, colors and versions of the luminaire allows Mantello to be adapted to the style and requirements of the room.

Still is a kinetic piece by Belgian designer Nathalie Devez . This lamp is characterized by the fact that the light source is off-center relative to the suspension point, creating a constantly and delicately changing dynamics. “I have always enjoyed playing with counterweights, creating movement and tension in my objects. In the design of the Still lamp, the metal rod that creates the balance has the same diameter as the tube in which the cable is placed. Bonded together, they form a perfect line and make packaging easy when separated,” explains the author. The Still lamp combines functionality and poetry, rationalism and lightness. It is available as a single or triple gimbal - graphic and mobile. The model is available in three finishes: raw white, black bronze or barrier bleu. Peter Ameloot, Managing Director and Head of Research and Development at Delta Light: “Still is both simple and sophisticated. It can grab your attention without dominating the interior. Exciting lighting object! We are convinced that we can bring him to the international arena and give him the recognition he deserves.”

Another novelty of the season - Frax - at night turns open spaces into picturesque scenes. With its 7 different lighting effects and multiple installation options, Frax has been designed to fit perfectly into every aspect of urban architecture - of every shape, material and composition. Whether you need to illuminate sculptures, trees, or buildings, Frax can effectively handle any of these tasks. Frax is based on the LED Caset® developed and patented by Delta Light, which uses individual collimator lenses for each LED to provide incredibly precise light distribution. The combination of individual lenses creates a layered light distribution focused at an 8° or 14° beam angle. Other lighting effects can be obtained by adding microlenses that model beam angles up to 26° or 47° or create lighting effects such as a wallwash or a line effect.
