Since its debut in the spring of 2018, the BMW X2 has taken a standout position in the range, bringing together a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) that combines distinctiveness, sporty looks and modern design elements. The new BMW X2 M Mesh Edition completes the urban rebel image with exclusive bodywork, M sporty elements and elegant interior details.
Features M Mesh Edition
The expressive accents and exclusive design elements of the M Mesh Edition make the BMW X2 attractive to an active young audience and to those who are young at heart.
Based on the M Sport X version, it is complemented by a high-gloss BMW M kidney grille with a mesh structure, interior details painted in Frozen Dark Brown metallic and bright accents on the front bumper, hood, doors and wheels. The bright orange decals pair perfectly with the new Brooklyn Gray metallic exterior (exclusive to M Mesh Edition) and Sapphire Black metallic. Black decals are available for Snow White, Phytonic Blue metallic and Sunset Orange metallic, the same color as the inserts on the new aerodynamic 19- and 20-inch wheels.
Standard equipment includes the enhanced BMW Individual Shadow Line Exterior Design with high-gloss Black surrounds for windows, exterior mirrors, B-pillars, M kidney grille, rings around the BMW emblem on the tailgate and tailpipes in Black Chrome.
Front end design
The front of the BMW X2 has a clean design thanks to the absence of round fog lamps.
Their tasks are performed by special sections built into the LED headlights, the function of adaptive cornering lighting provides illumination of the shoulders. Another new feature is the projection of the X2 logo on the pavement near the driver's door, which is part of the lighting package. Adaptive LED headlights with matrix high beam are available as an option.

The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition will hit the global market in November 2020 with six powertrain options: three diesel engines, two petrol engines and the BMW X2 xDrive25e plug-in hybrid. Information about engines and equipment for the Russian market will appear later.
Interior Features
The interior design of the BMW X2 M Mesh Edition echoes the exterior color accents. A feature of the performance is a two-tone interior trim. The M Sports seats at the front and the rear sofa are exclusively upholstered in Dakota leather in Mocha with Alcantara inserts. Contrasting orange stitching on the front panel and edging of the floor mats are in harmony with the decals on the body. The thresholds are decorated with special trims with the inscription Edition.
The sporty character of the vehicle in the interior is underscored by a number of standard BMW M features: M stainless steel pedals, M left footrest for driver, M leather steering wheel and car key with exclusive M identifier. The interior trim finishers are Anthracite Hexagon Aluminum. with highlight trim in Pearl Chrome and BMW Individual headliner Anthracite.
Digital Services
The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition features intuitive operation and intelligent connectivity. The ID6 control concept allows functions to be controlled via the iDrive controller, touch screen or voice commands (with the BMW Navigation option). Standard equipment includes a 6.5-inch central touchscreen display, the optional BMW navigation system comes with an 8.8-inch display and a 5.7-inch digital instrument cluster. BMW Navigation Plus includes a 10.25-inch display and a head-up display in front of the driver.
A wide range of BMW ConnectedDrive services is available for the BMW X2 M Mesh Edition. The BMW Connected app and, in the future, the My BMW app will allow you to lock/unlock your car remotely, show your location or send the destination address from your smartphone to the navigation system.
BMW X2 xDrive25e plug-in hybrid
Among all the versions of the BMW X2 available on the world market, the recently introduced plug-in hybrid BMW X2 xDrive25e deserves special attention (not offered in Russia). Its powertrain consists of a 1.5-litre petrol engine (125 hp and 220 Nm) and a highly efficient electric motor (95 hp and 165 Nm) that drives the rear wheels.
The total output of the power plant is 220 hp.
and 385 Nm. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 195 km/h. The 10 kWh high-voltage battery in MAX eDrive mode provides up to 57 km of electric range with a top speed of 135 km/h. The BMW i Wallbox charger allows you to recharge your electricity supply from 0% to 80% in 2.4 hours, and a full charge takes about 3.2 hours. The SAVE BATTERY mode helps keep the battery at its current level or increase it through regenerative braking. The battery is located under the rear seat and does not affect the volume and transformation of the trunk. With the rear seats folded down, its volume grows from 410 to 1290 liters.
