Dubai - the neon-lit heart of the UAE

23 November 2020

You have already visited many places and it is difficult to surprise you? Then go to Dubai - the city of wonders. After all, there the ruminant animal “parks” next to a luxury car, and some ATMs dispense gold instead of banknotes. This can only be found in Dubai. A strange oasis of fantastical skyscrapers emerges from the desert. The city sprawls across the sand and crawls towards the sea, artificial islands dot the coastline. Tourism, business and construction make the city lively even at night. Dubai, once a Bedouin outpost, shows capitalism at its peak.

Here are the reasons for escaping the dull autumn into an oriental fairy tale:

Unbeatable shopping experience

Shopping is just one of many reasons to visit Dubai. Once here, be sure to plunge into the maelstrom of shopping! Rarely is it so interesting. Shopping in Dubai is absolutely not something you have seen and experienced so far.

You can stop at Madinat Jumeirah, for example, where a traditional water taxi will take you from one store to another along man-made winding waterways. Staying in this mall will make you feel like you are in Arabian Venice. In addition, local shops offer a huge selection of souvenirs. Madinat Jumeirah is located on a coastal area of 40 hectares near the Burj Al Arab sail hotel.

quality food

Even in Dubai, where luxury is a matter of course, you can eat deliciously and inexpensively. It is worth visiting Al Diyaf Street with countless restaurants. There are Persian, Indian, Iranian and Lebanese cuisine.

Ask the locals about the Lebanese restaurant Sidra, known for its wide selection of grilled meats. Or head straight to the best Indian restaurant in the UAE - Ravi Restaurant. Then look on the menu for nihari, a beef goulash soup with large chunks of juicy meat.

Beaches

Dubai is famous for the best beaches in the world. A rather hot climate contributes to the influx of tourists to such places of rest. For this reason, every year more and more sophisticated beaches appear and each one is distinguished by something unusual. The best are the beaches of the Kite Beach and Jumeirah areas.

Favorable weather all year round

Great weather all year round is another reason to choose Dubai for your holiday.
For people who live in the Russian climate, this is one of the main reasons to visit Dubai. But the best time to visit the UAE is from October to April. Even in winter, the sea temperature does not fall below +20 0С. Most days of the year are sunny. The low season in the UAE is summer, when the unbearable fifty-degree heat. Much-needed vitamin D, a beautiful tan and positive energy are provided to you.

Artificial islands that captivate the world

Artificial islands in the form of palm trees?
Dubai too! This is one of the projects through which Dubai shows off its wealth to the world. Three artificial islands (or rather peninsulas) in the form of palms (Palms) form a single archipelago, which, when viewed from above, resembles a map of the world (The World).
The islands are home to luxurious shopping malls and residential areas. The islands are connected to the mainland by the Dubai Monorail.

Breathtaking architecture all around

Hot construction is going on in Dubai every day. No wonder, because up to a quarter of construction cranes from around the world are used here.

One of the most daring and admirable gems of Dubai's contemporary architecture is the sail-shaped hotel complex Burj Al Arab. It still attracts the attention of many. One of the most luxurious and expensive hotels in the world. The hotel is located in the sea near the coast. The cost of living per day reaches $ 20,000, but the service that the hotel is famous for is worth it. You will also be surprised by the Dubai Fountain - a musical fountain located in an artificial lake with an area of over 12 hectares next to the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, which gathers a huge number of spectators every day. The Dubai Singing Fountains are considered one of the largest on the planet: the jet can rise to a height of about 150 meters, which corresponds to the level of the fiftieth floor of a skyscraper. The unique flower park Dubai Miracle Garden, which is spread over an area of 6.7 hectares. About 45 different types of flowers are planted here. Most of them were specially brought to Dubai so that the creators of the Miracle Garden could realize their project. The Dubai Miracle Garden is also unique in that it was laid out in a bare waterless desert. The Jumeirah Mosque, built of pink sandstone and emblazoned on a banknote of 500 dirhams, will not leave you indifferent - the only one in the UAE that is allowed to visit non-Muslims.

A cosmopolitan city full of inspiration

Dubai, a city rich in multicultural influence, is like an extremely strong magnet that attracts travelers from all over the world.
Only twenty percent of the population are citizens of the United Arab Emirates, the rest are from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh.
Many of them work in very high management positions. In Dubai, neither origin nor religion plays a role. Anyone who wants to and works hard on himself can move from zero to the top.

Optimistic, hospitable and friendly people

Much has been written about traditional Arab hospitality and generosity. Even the hotel staff will take care of you so well that for a while you will feel almost like royalty. No wonder the locals are called very hospitable, smiling and very kind.

Absolute sense of security

Crime in Dubai is minimal. Crime is severely punished here. In Dubai, women do not need an accompanying male. However, if they are going to move around the streets on their own, they should, especially in more traditional parts of the city, go out in decent clothes that do not attract attention.

Night life until the morning

Dubai is a fantastic and exciting city, full of seemingly inexhaustible energy. Here you will find really good clubs where, unlike the rest of Dubai, there is no alcohol ban and you can dance the night away.

Clubs are constantly fighting over which one will bring the best and most attractive program. Concerts and spectacular fireworks are regularly held here.

Dubai - city of gold

If Dubai suffers from a strong obsession, it is clearly obsessed with gold. How else to explain the culinary whim in the form of a golden cappuccino?! El Caf, located at the Emirates Palace Hotel, serves golden cappuccino topped with 24 carat gold.

It tastes like pure coffee, but the feeling that you have gold in your throat is priceless!
Or do you prefer to drink regular coffee from a vending machine?

The main thing is to choose the right one! In Dubai, there are also gold vending machines next to coffee machines. Through the machine, you can also buy gold coins of various weights with country symbols.

Safari

Drive powerful off-road vehicles through the desert. What could be more interesting?

If you like drive and excitement, then you should try it.
As a bonus, after the trip you will get a wonderful dinner in the style of Arabic cuisine and entertainment in the form of oriental dancers.
