Russian Technological University MIREA became the owner of the first Super Cup of the Moscow Student Esports League.
His team turned out to be stronger than the team of ITMO University in St. Petersburg in six out of seven events of the program. Competitions were held in FIFA, Hearthstone, StarCraft II, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valorant, League of Legends and Dota 2. Representatives of the St. Petersburg university were stronger only in FIFA.
The final student competition of the year was held at the Winstrike arena in the capital.
The teams of the universities that won the two major competitions of the MSCL in the outgoing year became the participants of the Super Cup. RTU MIREA is the champion of the eleventh season of the MSCL, and ITMO University became the first winner of the MSCL+ open student league. The eleventh season of the MSCL was held in February-March 2021 and brought together more than 50 teams. MSCL+ was held in October-November and brought together representatives of more than 100 educational institutions from 25 cities of Russia. The competition was held on the Cybermos.ru platform, organized by the Moscow Computer Sports Federation with the support of the Moscow City Sports Department.
