Expressive design
At the forefront of design, the new PEUGEOT 3008 has been redesigned with an even more expressive and unique style.
Its striking and inspiring design heralds a new era of modernism and emphasizes the sophistication and energy of the new crossover. The new frameless ultra grille emphasizes the modern styling and flowing shapes of the PEUGEOT 3008, extending across the entire width of the vehicle and integrating the elements of the front end.
On the front of the hood, there is now an inscription with the name of the model - as with all new PEUGEOT models. The sporty look of the Peugeot 3008 is underscored by a new bumper with side vents in high-gloss black and a trim strip, available as standard.
The headlights have also received a new, more aggressive design that makes the car even more visible in traffic.
They include lion fangs-style LED daytime running lights and are standard on the vehicle. This design of light optics is fully consistent with the modern style of PEUGEOT and gives the model unmistakable recognition. The eye-catching 3D claw rear lights have also been redesigned and now feature full LED technology, including the reversing light.
Direction indicators - dynamic. The lanterns are covered with transparent tinted glass, which smoothly turns into a glossy black molding that connects them and visually increases the width of the rear.
Engines
Hybrid powertrains are a prime example of the Brand's "Power of Choice" philosophy. The new PEUGEOT 3008 crossover offers two hybrid drive options:
- HYBRID4 300 e-EAT8 / AWD / CO2 emissions 29 g/km, electric range up to 59 km (according to WLTP protocol),
- HYBRID 225 e-EAT8 / front-wheel drive / CO2 emissions 30 g/km, electric range up to 56 km (according to WLTP protocol).
The extremely economical and powerful version of the HYBRID4 300 e-EAT8 was created by combining a 200 hp PureTech engine. (147 kW) and two electric motors: one, docked with an e-EAT8 gearbox, is located in front and develops 110 hp. (81 kW), and the second is located on the rear axle and has a power of 112 hp. (83 kW).
All-wheel drive, also available when driving in electric mode, provides improved traction both on well-paved roads and in more difficult conditions. The result is impeccable handling on wet, muddy and snowy roads. An electronic system is responsible for the stepless distribution of torque between all four wheels.
The 225 hp (165 kW) hybrid front-wheel drive version is based on a 180 hp PureTech internal combustion engine. (132 kW) and an electric motor with a power of 110 hp. (80 kW) combined with e-EAT8 gearbox.
Both versions, built on the Efficient Modular Platform (EMP2), are equipped with a multi-link rear suspension, providing the perfect balance between comfort and dynamics. The result is achieved without sacrificing interior space and while maintaining the volume of the trunk, measured from the floor mat to the roof.
The lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 13.2 kWh. Two types of on-board chargers are available to meet all customer charging needs: a 3.7 kW single-phase on-board charger as standard, and a 7.4 kW single-phase on-board charger as an option.
The new PEUGEOT 3008 SUV is available with the following internal combustion engines with CO2 emissions starting at 129 g/km. They comply with the Euro 6 standard and have been tested according to the WLTP protocol (Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Text Procedures).
Petrol engines:
3-cylinder engines with a volume of 1.2 liters:
- PureTech 130 S&S BVM6,
- PureTech 130 S&S EAT8.
1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine:
- PureTech 180 EAT8.
4-cylinder engines with a volume of 1.5 liters:
- BlueHDi 130 S&S EAT8,
- BlueHDi 130 S&S EAT8.
Exciting emotions in the new i-Cockpit®
The success of the PEUGEOT 3008 is also due to its impressive interior. In the new PEUGEOT 3008, the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® concept of the driver's seat has become even more modern and high-tech.
- The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster features a Black Panel display that delivers superior image quality with excellent readability and contrast.
- The new central touch screen now has a diagonal of 10 inches. This high-resolution display features seven elegant “piano keys” that provide direct access to the main comfort system functions: radio, air conditioning, 3D online navigation system with voice control, vehicle settings, telephone, mobile applications and emergency lights.
On the center console of all cars with an internal combustion engine and automatic transmission, now in the basic equipment there is a switch for driving modes - Normal, Sport and Eco.
For versions with a hybrid power plant, the drive mode switch has the following positions: Electric (default when starting the engine) / Hybrid / Sport / 4WD (only for the HYBRID4 300 model).
The visually updated version of the i-Cockpit features new high-quality finishes:
- New red Nappa leather trim (for GT/GT Pack),
- New trim in Synthetic Fabric (PET) / Alcantara® Black Mistral (for GT / GT Pack),
- New Mistral Nappa leather upholstery with Tramontane decorative stitching (all trim levels),
- New trim with a combination of synthetic (PET) and natural fabric (for ALLURE / ALLURE Pack trims).
In select countries, the new PEUGEOT 3008 will be available online from the PEUGEOT STORE, which provides 100% digital purchase, trade-in, credit and pick-up.
Intelligent Technologies
The new PEUGEOT 3008 is equipped with the latest driver assistance systems, which are part of a wide range of features available for the car:
- The Night Vision System, which is unique in the compact crossover segment, recognizes the presence of living creatures (pedestrians/animals) in front of the vehicle both at night and in low visibility conditions. The system has a range of up to 250 meters and recognizes objects that are outside the high beam beam. The image from the infrared camera is displayed on the central display and thus is in the direct field of view of the driver.
- Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go (with EAT8 automatic transmission) is able to automatically resume driving after a stop of no more than three seconds. If the vehicle has been stationary for more than three seconds, simply depressing the accelerator pedal or stalk is sufficient to resume movement. This function is available when driving at any speed - from 0 km / h. Available as part of the Drive Assist Plus package.
- Lane Assist (works in conjunction with Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go) allows the driver to keep the vehicle in lane. The driver must keep his hands on the steering wheel. Available as part of the Drive Assist Plus package.
- The latest generation of emergency braking system (recognizes pedestrians and cyclists in day and night conditions at speeds from 5 to 140 km/h, depending on the version) with a collision warning system.
Smartphones have firmly entered our daily lives, and it is impossible to imagine the new PEUGEOT 3008 crossover without them. Thanks to the MirrorScreen function, which supports Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, smartphone information is displayed on the center display. To recharge your mobile devices, in addition to the wireless charging function, there is a USB socket in the front seat area and two new USB sockets in the rear seat area.
The new PEUGEOT 3008 crossover can be equipped with a high-end FOCAL® HiFi audio system with a power of 515 watts with high-quality sound characteristic of French audio equipment, delivering maximum pleasure to the driver and passengers. It is also worth mentioning the new speaker grilles, made in bronze color.
