Birthday of the Gogol Center

On February 2, the celebration of the 8th anniversary of the Gogol Center took place. Irina Khakamada, Varvara Shmykova, Vladislav Lisovets, Evgeny Mironov, Natasha Maksimova, Murad Osmann and many others came to congratulate the theater. The Gogol Center traditionally celebrated its birthday with a festive concert, during which badges were awarded for services to the theater.  

The hosts of the evening were the actor Alexei Agranovich and the artistic director of the theater Kirill Serebrennikov. 

In his solemn speech, Kirill Serebrennikov announced that he was leaving the post of artistic director of the theater, since the Moscow authorities did not renew his contract.
