MBFWeek. autumn-winter collection 21/22

7 May 2021

Another Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia took place in Moscow. This season, it was a hybrid - online and offline shows. And the fashion week was held in a new place for her - the Museum of Moscow.

RUBAN

The RUBAN brand has existed since 2010. The design duet of sisters Alisa and Yulia Ruban every season offers a new look at the image of a self-confident woman who is not afraid of bold combinations and layered looks. The ambiguous past year only increased the desire of designers to understand what a woman really needs to feel comfortable and confident in any situation. Each product in the new collection was created with thoughts about where, with whom, and most importantly, what a woman feels, what she thinks about at one time or another. The RUBAN fall-winter 21/22 collection turned out to be two-part: Demi Couture and Prêt-à-Porter. The first direction fulfills the need for deliberately feminine clothes, the second one offers practical functional clothes for urban life.

MIR277

The MIR227 collective show this time presented several collections to live accompaniment. The show featured a variety of looks for women and children. Dresses and suits with transparent plastic inserts, elegant embroidered hoodies, midi skirts combined with crop tops and elongated jackets, outerwear - it was multifaceted and bright. The children who took to the podium showed trench coats with leather inserts and microbags - perhaps nothing distinguished them from adult models. At the end of the show, the designers presented models made of organza: trousers, shirts and capes made of this fabric looked profitable and stylish.

Gerda Irene

Collection "Diffusion" ("Diffusion") combines vintage and modernity. The brand adheres to the principles of sustainable fashion, so each piece is handcrafted from recycled materials or handmade fabrics. On the catwalk, the audience saw classic trench coats in a new interpretation, dresses with wide straps, suits with cropped jackets and bike shorts, as well as hats, which designer Gerda Iren pays special attention to. She has her own technology for recycling plastic bags, which is used to create hats. The show turned out to be quite bright: khaki, beige, ocher, brick - these colors were successfully complemented by the texture of fabrics. Of the prints, the designer gave preference to graphic classics: check, stripes, houndstooth, but did not forget about real art objects - some things were painted with paintings, because the inspiration for this collection was the art of the Renaissance and the 60s.
