TRENDS ARE NOT ALWAYS PLEASANT

12 March 2020

Maria Solnechnaya, Glavred GORPROEKTIt would probably be wrong if I avoided this topic. Our publication always tries to avoid too sensitive moments on the topic of political events and cataclysms - this is not about our magazine, but not this time.

Not so long ago, our life has changed in many ways, as a new component for discussions has been added to it. The topic of the coronavirus came to the dialogues about the political situation and financial destabilization. The mood of many has deteriorated over the past month, and all news feeds and social networks are full of epidemics, quarantines and disputes about medicines. A flurry of information about panic in other states and much more ...

I noticed that, unfortunately, on social networks and among many journalists, this has become a direct trend and a fashionable topic!
If you don’t discuss it and don’t have a debate on this topic, then you are kind of behind. It is sad! Every third wants to hype. I, like everyone else, am interested in this topic, but it is rather a method of precaution, adequacy and informational understanding of what is happening in the world, as well as from the point of view of a journalist. At the same time, the more you read and watch this hype wave, the more the circus becomes clear. A circus of people who write their opinions, but fantasize along the way (stand-up is resting), a circus of state workers, a circus of the media and, of course, circus performances of foreign policy structures. Alas, living people who are not artists suffer in the arena. They suffer not only from the virus, but also from financial and moral losses (I'm talking about renting tickets, tours, business trips, canceling family vacations and, of course, about the business segment, which is also dependent on such shows - performances) and ending with paranoia . On the last one, I want to put a big and bold accent!

Everyone has heard about the effect of 25 frames and everyone knows that if you say: “do not think about elephants”, then this is exactly what a person will think about.
So much is written and said about the Coronavirus that people who do not have a completely stable psyche and nervous system (and statistics show that there are a huge number of such people) will paranoidly begin to look for symptoms in themselves and others, think about death, think about the end of the world and much more. And then the psychosomatics of diseases will get down to business ... Therefore, in my personal opinion, our epidemic has already begun not only of the Coronavirus, but also of paranoia, and it is more ambitious than the first. And I want to note that mental problems are often very difficult to treat, and a person does not always fully recover. Friends! Come on, when you want to follow trends and talk about what is relevant now, we will think not only about viruses and how to take advantage of it, but also about the lives of ordinary people!

On the threshold of spring. There are a huge number of interesting live topics for conversation. There was almost no winter in Moscow, and the sun too - this adds to the breakdown, fatigue from gray colors and pessimism. But the time for sunny days is just around the corner. Walk more, smile, travel (even just out of town for the weekend) and read positive books, and even better classics.
Let our magazine help you with bright colors, nice materials, useful life hacks and interesting people.
