Mira is the embodiment of diverse fashionable musical trends: pop, euro-pop, new disco in a single project. Mira's story is a success story created by her own work, talent and, of course, professional collaboration with famous authors, composers and directors. Her songs are heard on many popular radio stations, and video clips are sure to get on the air of popular music channels in Russia and neighboring countries: RU TV, RUSSIAN MUSIC BOX, MUZ TV, MUSIC OF THE FIRST, ELLO TV.
GP: Mira, do you think education is important in your profession, or can anyone sing, the main thing is from the heart?
MIRA: I think education is always and in all areas important! Even if a person is a genius by nature, still not knowing the intricacies of his work, which teachers still pass on from experience, a genius most likely will not be able to use his talent in full, which means that he will not be able to “shine” brilliantly in his craft. And, of course, you still have to be literate and explain yourself in the language of the profession, it’s hard for me to imagine that in the 21st century, something can be explained “on the fingers”.
GP: Has the pandemic affected your work in any way?
MIRA: Certainly affected. Everything has changed around, it is already very noticeable. On the one hand, we began to meet friends less, spend less time in beautiful restaurants or go to the sea, this, of course, is all sad, but on the other hand, time has been freed up for some things for which there was always not enough time. For artists, this is not an easy period in everything - there are no concerts, no corporate parties. It is hard for creative people not to realize themselves, to perform, to work for the public - this is our life. Of course, I got a little tired of the monotony, mostly household chores, sometimes I can’t stand it and break into the studio, record songs, risking each time, because I want the virus to pass by, but you can never be 100% sure, being among people. Therefore, I still rarely get out of the house, take care of myself and my family, and really look forward to when this is all over, and the world will regain complete freedom of action.
HP: What are you doing now? What are your plans for the near future?
MIRA: Now I continue to record new songs, I am finishing repairs in the apartment, thanks to the pandemic, finally, all the square meters were put in order and updated. I also plan to still try to create my own collection of clothes, but for now I’m just collecting information, studying this issue, I have already drawn a lot of sketches, I would like to somehow bring them to life.
GP: Most recently, you received a fashion tv award, for "style song" during the awards, what emotions do you experience?
MIRA: I don't know why, but every time I feel a pleasant excitement. This time I was touched by the fact that Dima Bilan's sister, Anna Bilan, presented me with the award. And what excited me was that many years ago, when I sang in my city and was just getting a musical education, Dima Bilan came to our city with a concert. For our small town this is a big event. I came to the concert and stood in the crowd somewhere in the 4th or 5th row, and dreamed of taking a picture with him, and somewhere in the middle of the concert, Dima extended his hand from the stage, pointing at me, and pulled me onto the stage! And we sang a whole song with him on stage. I still remember every second, it was like a dream! After all, there were a lot of people in the hall! Why me? Why me? For me it was some kind of sign! I already sang as part of a vocal group, and, of course, I dreamed of becoming a singer! And here is such a good sign! And now, after a long break in creativity since the beginning of the year, they began to send me beautiful songs with good lyrics, this is already good luck! We recorded the song “Let's take a chance”, and now it has already been marked by the fashion tv channel as a stylish song. I couldn't dream of it! I am very pleased! And suddenly a sign from the past, again, as if the Universe reminded me of that magical day! And as if she said: “You are doing everything right! Continue!". After all, any other person could give me the award, but I received it from her kind hands!!! Such a story happened to me, and the emotions, of course, are magical!!!
HP: How many years have you been making art?
MIRA: I have been singing since childhood, I have always been drawn to music, but I have been professionally engaged in creativity for 15-16 years. My first video clip, which hit all the music channels of the country and abroad for the song "Sea, Sand", was filmed in 2008. So I continue to hone my creativity.
GP: Were there any turning points in your work, did you ever want to change your profession?
MIRA: For example, there is no suitable song... At first, I always took it to heart and despaired, because, whatever one may say, the project needs a producer or manager who understands what to do with a beautiful song! And I haven't come across this yet. I have to solve many issues myself and continue to study issues about promotion in a country where people do not particularly like to work. But now I stopped taking everything so close to my heart, and changed my attitude to the situation, began to engage in creativity without haste, for pleasure. And if I meet the right and right people for the project, it will be a huge gift for me. I would like to put together a team.
GP: What do you find difficult in the profession of a singer?
MIRA: I think, probably, after all, the promotion of creativity on the market. Now there is such competition that it is difficult to show the song to people, and somehow keep it in positions: new items are released every day. And the rest is not difficult for me, because I do what I love. And the work that gives you a lot of joy and pleasure in life is already a gift from above!!! And for that, I thank God endlessly.
GP: We know that you don't like to talk about your personal life, but is it easy for you to combine the work of an artist, being married? Does it hinder you personally or vice versa helps?
MIRA: In my case, my marriage only helps me. I don’t worry for anything, I’m calmly busy with my own affairs, I’m not distracted by worries about children, and I’m lucky with my husband, as we look in the same direction. As they say, he does not require children to give birth, we are not in a hurry, so while we enjoy life and help each other to realize ourselves, we support each other and rejoice in the success of each of us. But being married is also, I tell you, not the easiest thing to do. You still feel responsible not only for yourself, but also for your husband. If we have children, I don’t think that I will be able to be creative, there will definitely not be enough time for this. But for now, as it is.
GP: Do you have any special desires in life that have not yet been realized?
MIRA: Yes! My dream is to capture the entire show business market and own 100% of the shares of the entire media industry - radio stations, music channels, competitions. This is such a strange and huge dream. I would like to put things in order in show business and be able to help talented people who do not have producers, do not have big finances, but have talent. Talents need help! Mediocrity will crawl through on their own ”- but will my dream come true? I don't know! But I would like it!
HP: How is your typical day?
MIRA: My typical day always starts the same way. When I wake up, the first thing I do after washing my face is to read a couple of prayers, light a candle and just let God know that I start this day with him! I am a believer, I feel somehow calmer when I do this, but I must also note that my mood for the whole day improves incredibly! In general, my day begins with love! Thanks! With awareness! Next, I will definitely do a light exercise and leave it for 10 minutes on affirmations, and after that, everything is according to the list in the diary, which I make up on the eve in the evening.
GP: What interests you in life besides music? What do you like to do in your spare time?
MIRA: There are many things that interest me: I love to travel, I love to play with my cats, we have three of them, and they are very funny when we play. I love to read books, watch comedies in my free time. And I also love to dance! And if no one is at home, then I will definitely dance from the bottom of my heart in front of the mirror - it charges me incredibly.
HP: Do you enjoy being active on social media? Networks? You manage your own social media pages. Networks? Or do you have helpers?
MIRA: I'm not very active in social networks, this, of course, requires more free time than I currently have. I try, but so far, alas, I can’t devote time even to friends on social networks. And in my profession it is important to pay attention to the people who listen to my music and support, and to be, of course, active. But so far I have not found the assistant I need, whom I could trust to develop my personal pages. So, for now, I personally manage social networks and try to be more attentive to everyone.
