On the evening of January 2, Channel One and the online cinema MTS TV presented the premiere: a television version of the most grandiose musical event of the past year - the anniversary Golden Gramophone Ceremony. According to marketing research by Mediascope, TV Index, the Golden Gramophone Ceremony gathers millions of viewers all over Russia from year to year in front of the screens. The broadcast of the Ceremony became the highest rated music program on Russian television on January 2nd. The TV broadcast of the award allowed Channel One to significantly overtake its main competitor, the Rossiya 1 TV channel, in this timeslot and largely determined its leadership that day on Russian TV**.
